FESTIVAL OF TRAINS

Trains of all sizes will pull into Science Central for the science center’s 14th annual Festival of Trains, Friday, November 23 through Sunday, November 25. Science Central will be open Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm, and Sunday from Noon to 5 pm. Regular admission rates apply.

Train enthusiasts of all ages are invited to observe model train sets in action, demonstrated by various local model train groups, including the Northern Indiana O-Scalers, Maumee Valley Model Railroad Club and Northeast Indiana N-Scalers. The Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society and the Three Rivers Heritage Council will also be on board to share historical perspectives of railroad transportation in Fort Wayne.

Operation Lifesaver will educate visitors about train safety, and there will be hands-on fun for the kids with a room full of train sets for exploration.
