PICNIC IN THE PARK CELEBRATES 10TH YEAR

The Waynedale community is a great place to live and play. Our Picnic is just around the corner and it is filled with great excitement for the 10th year. This year the Waynedale Picnic will be held on Saturday, August 25 in the Waynedale Park, just off Elzey Street. It is free to all.

From 10am to 3pm everyone will come together to enjoy food and drink, music by DJ, games for the children and bingo for adults. We hope to have horse rides and other small animals available to view.

Vendor “booths” are set up by local businesses and organizations to show off their special products or information about them. There will be bicycle helmet giveaways from the FOP.

Waynedale is very lucky to have so many people interested in improving our community. A fun-filled day in the park for the children and the families of Waynedale. This event attracts hundreds of people and is supported by the local fire, police, EMS, Army National Guard and many local organizations.

The day will be filled with donated door prizes to be given away. The children (1-13 yrs) can play free carnival games to win game prizes or do crafts at the Craft Tent. There will be many fun things to do for all ages like balloons, face painting and air brushed tattoos. The MoonWalk, Bunge Run and the RockWall to climb are all great fun too.

The picnic is sponsored by many local businesses, neighborhood associations and friends of Waynedale. All the money and items donated go directly into our event.

We NEED volunteers. It you are willing to help please contact Beulah at 747-6305 or Cheryl at 747-5272.
