Phil’s Hobby Shop has announced their new location in Fort Wayne. With over 6,000 square feet, this new location will feature a 16-foot slot car track, a custom train display, and an exclusive kid’s area.

Founded in 1975 by Phil Gieseking, Phil’s Hobby Shop has a long standing history in Fort Wayne. There are currently two locations in Fort Wayne and one location in Defiance, OH. What Phil started 37 years ago continues with his son Steve Gieseking and his business partner, Paris McFarthing. Steve and Paris currently own the Phil’s at 1722 Lake Ave. and will soon be opening a new location at 3938 W. Jefferson Blvd. in the ParkWest Shopping Center.

The new Phil’s Hobby Shop at ParkWest will be five times as large as the Lake Avenue store. With a larger space for displays, more product offerings, 16-foot slot car track, custom built train display, the new Phil’s Hobby Shop will be an experience customers will want to see again and again.

“We are really excited about the new store, it’s a huge undertaking, but it’s going to be a really neat resource for the community,” owner Steve Gieseking. “I’m glad to carry on the tradition of what my dad started so many years ago.”

The ParkWest location of Phil’s Hobby Shop will have a Grand Opening Celebration on Saturday, July 7th with a ribbon cutting with INC TV’s Tommy Schoegler, Moe’s Southwest Grill, giveaways all day, live music with Hubie Ashcraft, DJ Fast Eddie Kroozin USA Show, Classic Car Cruise-In, and so much more!
