FORMER WAYNDALER TO TAKE ON THE CHALLENGE OF LAMPLIGHT INN

Suzie Ebbing takes on ultimate challengeSuzie Ebbing, daughter of Tom and Linda of St. Louis Avenue has taken on the ultimate challenge. Suzie has been hired to be the Executive Director of the Lamplight Inn of Fort Wayne.
The Lamplight Inn facility, previously known as the Holiday Inn downtown is currently under renovation. The 14-story building will be turned into 170 bed Independent Living/ Assisted Living Community right in the heart of downtown. The new community will accept private pay, VA, and Medicaid Waiver residents.
The affordable assisted living concept is what drew Ebbing to the position. Being a nurse first and for most, the affordability of assisted living was something she wanted to be a part of. The community will have many services and amenities. Its all-inclusive rates include, rent, care, and medication monitoring. The community has an indoor pool, exercise room, activity room, billards and has plans for a beauty shop, chapel, theater room and much more. There will be pharmacy, physical therapy and three chef prepared meals on site as well as 24-hour licensed nursing professionals.
The community is slated to open mid-summer. Lamplight Inn will offer its residents free cable TV and Wi-Fi.
Ebbing stated, “That being downtown we will have access to many events and places of interest for residents.” Ebbing has taken care of the elderly population since she was 19 years of age and is dedicated to supporting and promoting a healthy independent lifestyle for each resident.
