DANIEL J. SURINE, 51, of Fort Wayne, died on Monday, October 26, 2009, at his residence. Born May 3, 1958, in Fort Wayne, he retired in 1992 as a truck driver for Kaough Floor Covering. He was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church. He was an avid Colts fan, and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving are parents, Sharon (Phillips) Surine and Richard (Betty) Surine, both of Fort Wayne; children, Eric M. Surine and Sarah A. (Tim) Hill, both of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Janessa, Erica, Narriah, Caitlynn, Donovan and Dominic; siblings, Mark E. (Marcia) Surine of Roanoke, John P. (Marge) Surine of Phoenix, Arizona, Anne M. Budenz of Fort Wayne and Angela K. Shifflett, Toledo, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his brother, David Surine.
Service was 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Therese Catholic Church, 2304 Lower Huntington Road, Fort Wayne, with visitation one-hour prior. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, with Rosary service 7:30 p.m. Private graveside service in Prairie Grove Cemetery.
