MELINDA LEAH “MINNIE” LUKINS, 55
MELINDA LEAH “MINNIE” LUKINS, 55, of Fort Wayne, died Thursday, February 14, 2008, at her residence. Born September 12, 1952, in Fort Wayne, she was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 241. She was owner/operator of Minnie’s Dinner and Jim K’s Pizza; and President of Colony Management LLC.
Surviving are her husband, John P. Lukins Jr. of Fort Wayne; father and stepmother, Richard and Lila Anderson of Fort Wayne; mother, Janice Smith of Fort Wayne; sons, Scott (Shelly) Lukins, Richard (Carrie) Lukins, John (Carla) Lukins III, and Benjamin (Jennifer) Lukins, all of Fort Wayne; brothers, Richard Anderson of Columbia City, Dan Anderson and Dale Payne, both of Fort Wayne, Steve Payne of Milton, Wisconsin, Robert Payne, Jack Deaton, Kevin Payne, Mark Payne, and Robin Anderson, all of Fort Wayne; sister, Terry Payne; and nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Becky Anderson and Cheryl Sullivan.
Funeral service was Monday, February 18, 2008 at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne. Visitation was Sunday, February 17, 2008 at the funeral home, with Waynedale Lions Club service also on Sunday, February 17, 2008.
