Tower Financial Corporation announced that Michael D. Cahill has joined its board of directors. Cahill currently serves as Executive Vice President and COO of Tower Financial Corporation, and President & CEO of Tower Bank.
Cahill received his degree from the University of Notre Dame in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting, and he is a Certified Public Accountant. Cahill has served as Chief Financial and Privacy Officer for Physicians Health Plan of Northern Indiana, and before joining Tower Bank in May 2004, Cahill served as Director of Business Development and Strategic Planning for Barry Sturges Enterprises.
Cahill is presently involved as the Chairman of St. Joseph Community Health Foundation, Board Member of the Downtown Improvement District, Director of the University of Saint Francis, Board member of Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana, Inc., and Advisor to the National Care Network in Dallas, TX.
Kelly A. Harris was recently promoted to Assistant Manager of Tower Bank’s Waynedale Financial Center. Harris holds five years of banking experience from previous roles as customer service representative and personal banker.
Richard R. Sawyer, Chief Financial Officer of Tower Bank, has been promoted to Senior Vice President. Sawyer joined Tower Bank in 2005 as financial reporting officer. He has 15 years of financial experience in the commercial real estate industry and holds a B.A. in Accounting from Taylor University, Upland.
Randall S. Steiner, who has been with Tower Bank since 2004, was recently promoted to Chief Credit Officer and remains First Vice President. Steiner holds a bachelor of science in Accounting from Indiana University and has over 25 years of banking experience.
Brian C. Ternet was recently promoted to Loan Officer, Commercial Real Estate. Prior to his promotion Ternet served as a credit analyst. He holds an MBA from Indiana University and regularly volunteers for the ALS Association of Indiana.
