I ONLY UMPIRE WHEN PAID
Occasionally at a Wizards game a fan will ask me how I would have called a play?
My answer is simple, “I only umpire when I am paid to umpire.”
Letters to the editor are filled with written remarks on how the writer should have ruled on a certain situation. These opinions aren’t much value because they are not the person hired or selected to make these decisions. We are becoming a nation that will not accept authority. Earlier times were different.
We find ourselves in a situation where 49% are for and 51 % are against. The poles are continually telling us this. THINK ABOUT THIS.
