RICHARD E. MILLS, 59
RICHARD E. MILLS, 59, of Fort Wayne, died Monday, April 11, 2005, at Hospice Home. Born February 3, 1946, in Columbia City, he worked in Soder Assembly with G.E. Co./B.A.E. Systems for 38 years, retiring in 2002. He was a member of Aboite Baptist Church, Brookwood and Fairview Golf Clubs, Eagles Lodges, in Fort Wayne and Columbia City, and American Legion Post #241.
Surviving are wife, Kay M. Mills; daughters, Angela (Jack) Janssens and Dr. Lisa (Jeff) Holtsclaw, both of Fort Wayne; sons, Shane (Shannon) Mills and Chad (Kellie) Mills, both of Columbia City; mother, Virginia Fay Mills Leesburg, Florida; sister, Patty (Larry) Jones of Columbia City; brother, Lloyd (Nora) Mills of Union Mills; 11 grandchildren; and five nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by son, Ronnie Mills, in 1967; father, John R. Mills, in 1996; and brother, Dale Mills, in 1967.
Funeral service is Saturday, April 16 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road, with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Brad McGuire officiating. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.
