ALICE “JOY” STEWARD, 79
ALICE “JOY” STEWARD, 79, of Ossian, died Monday, August 2, 2004, at Ossian Healthcare Center. Born December 21, 1924, in Belmont, IL she was the daughter of the late Franklin Hill and Ada Hill Flick. She worked at the State Development Center for 10 years and also for the Indiana School for the Deaf, Medical Personnel Pool and was housemother for delinquent girls. She was a member of The Light House Free Methodist Church and Super Sixties.
Survivors include three daughters, LaVonne Smith of Markle, Beverly Denbo of Indianapolis, Donna Lawrence of Dunedin, FL; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Service was Friday, August 6, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Homes, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road, with Rev. Joe Reed officiating. Burial at Covington Memorial Gardens.
