FRED R. GIDEON, 82
FRED R. GIDEON, 82, died Thursday, February 12, 2004, at his Fort Wayne residence. Born August 31, 1921, in Pike County, he was a professor at Purdue University. He taught at IPFW, retiring in 1988. He received his Masters degree from Indiana University and was a World War II Navy veteran.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Peg Gideon; sons, Jack Gideon of Harlan and Jon Gideon of Paulding, Ohio; daughters, Barbee Gideon of Fort Wayne, Sam Gideon of Austin, Texas and Jill McNeal of Fort Wayne; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Service was 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 17th at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne. Burial was at St. Paul Cemetery, Paulding County, Ohio.
