WALTER HAMMER, 91
Walter Hammer, 91, died Sunday, October 19, 2003 at his daughter’s residence in Enon, Ohio. Born in Fort Wayne, he was a carpenter for Irmscher & Sons for over 25 years. He was a fly fisherman and enjoyed making furniture. He was a loving father and grandfather; he will be missed by all. He was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Hammer.
He is survived by sons Herman Hammer, Roanoke; Robert Hammer, Sparta, Indiana; Guy Hammer, Fort Wayne; daughters Ruth Manns, Enon, Ohio; Mary Stump, North Webster, Indiana; sister Ida H. Steiner, Hicksville, Ohio; 14 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great Great Grandchild.
Services were held Wednesday, October 22, 2003 at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home for Funerals with burial in Hoverstock Cemetery, Zanesville, Indiana. Memorials to Hospice.
