TWO LOCAL ARTISTS HONORED

Mayor Graham Richard honored 33 area students with Mayor’s Choice Awards on Monday, April 21st. Their artworks were chosen from among 6,000 entries submitted by Northeast Indiana students. Corey Leffers from St. Therese and Amanda Kurtz from Waynedale Elementary were the two Waynedale recipients. Corey said, “I did a picture of Jesus, but my friends said if I turned it sideways it looked like a fish.”
