ARTHUR WILLIAM CARL SPENN, 91

Arthur William Carl Spenn, 91, died Monday, March 17, 2003 at his rural Fort Wayne residence. A native of Allen County, he was a life-long farmer and was also a Pleasant Township School Bus Driver. He was a life-long member of St. Marks Lutheran Church on Thiele Road and was a member of the building and 125th anniversary committee at the church. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved his family and farming. He was renowned for his garden produce and eggs. He was married to Mary Catherine Spenn. He was preceded in death by his 1st wife Mable Spenn and brothers Reinhold Spenn and Rev. Robert Spenn.

He is survived by son Harrold Spenn, Rural Fort Wayne; brother Reverand Melvin Spenn, Mart, Texas; 3 grandsons John, Anthony, & Matthew Spenn of Allen County; and 6 grandchildren.

Services were held Thursday, March 20, 2003 at St. Marks Lutheran Church with burial in St. Marks Lutheran Church Cemetery. Memorials to St. Marks Lutheran Church Choir, Men’s Chorus, and Hand Bell Choir. Information furnished by Elzey Patterson Rodak Home for Funerals.
