MANLEY ARTHUR SMITH, 83

Manley Arthur Smith, 83, died Wednesday, February 12, 2003 at Parkview Hospital. A native of Chicago, Illinois, he was a maintenance worker at Slater Steel for 32-1/2 years before retiring in 1982. He was also a greeter at Wal-Mart for 10 years after retiring. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and American Legion Post #296. He was a WWII Army veteran. He was preceded in death by 1 brother and 2 sisters.

He is survived by his wife Mary C. Smith, Fort Wayne; daughters Margaret Ann Woods, New Haven, Indiana; Karen K. Regelsperger, Fort Wayne; Mary Hutchison, Fort Wayne; 12 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great Great Grandchild.

Services were held Saturday, February 15, 2003 at St. John The Baptist Church with burial in Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorials to Masses. Information furnished by Elzey Patterson Rodak Home for Funerals.
