MABEL S. HERBST, 91
Mabel S. Herbst, 91, died Tuesday, February 17, 2003 at her Fort Wayne residence. A native of Greenfield, Indiana, she was a homemaker and a member of United Faith Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed sewing and reading. She was a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and friend; she will be missed by all. She is preceded in death by her husband Arnold C. Herbst who passed away in 1990 and by Grandson Jeffry Herbst.
She is survived by daughters Maxine Tonkel, Fort Wayne; Bonnie Parquette, Fort Wayne; sons Freddie Herbst, Fort Wayne; Larry Herbst, Fort Wayne; Michael Herbst, Fort Wayne; brother Wendell McCague, Alabama; sister Marceile Vartick, Madison, Wisconsin; 16 Grandchildren, and 25 Great Grandchildren.
Services were held Thursday, February 20, 2003 at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home for Funerals with burial in Highland Park Cemetery. Memorials to Visiting Nurse Service and Hospice of NE Indiana.‑
