ARNOLD J. “JACK” MCCORMICK, 79
Arnold J. “Jack” McCormick, 79, died Friday, February 14, 2003 at Lutheran Hospital. A native of Wilco, West Virginia, he retired as bartender from Fort Wayne Country Club in January of this year. He was a WWII Navy Veteran and a member of Eagles #248. He enjoyed his grandchildren, baseball, and bowling. He was preceded in death by his wife Sonya Jean who passed away October 26, 2000.
He is survived by 7 sons: George Powell, Clearwater, Florida; Brian McCormick, Fort Wayne; Dennis Powell, Fort Wayne; Kevin McCormick, Bremen, Indiana; Richard Skaggs, Decatur, Indiana; John Skaggs, Las Vegas; Stacy Peace, Fort Wayne; 5 daughters: Norma Butterfield, Yucca Valley, California; Fran Benzinger, Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; Kathy Cooper, Fort Wayne; Kim McCormick, Fort Wayne; Dana McCormick, Woodridge, Illinois; 4 brothers: Gale McCormick, Virginia; Curtis McCormick, South Carolina; Kenneth McCormick, Princeton, West Virginia; Dwight McCormick, West Virginia; 20 Grandchildren; and 7 Great Grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday, February 18, 2003 at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home for Funerals with burial in Lindenwood Cemetery. Memorials to Lung and Heart Association or First Baptist Church.
