GENE CHANEY, 80
Gene Chaney, 80, died Sunday, December 23 at his residence in Fort Wayne. She is preceded in death by her husband Walter who passed away in 1962, a granddaughter, a brother, and a sister. She retired in 1984 as a group leader at Magnavox. She was a member of the Moose Lodge, American Legion Aux. Post 246, a 50 year member of the Daughters of Isabella, Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), Catholic Charities, and Helping Hands at St. John The Baptist Church.
She is survived by daughter Gail Kobryn, Ossian; step son Alan Chaney, Leo; step daughters Joan Sauder, Leo; Norma Butler, Fort Wayne; Jean White, Fort Wayne; 7 Grandchildren; and 1 Great Grandchild.
Services were held Thursday, December 27 at St. John’s Catholic Church with burial in Lindenwood Cemetery. Memorials to Parkview Hospice, Church, or donor’s choice.
