WAYNEDALE OUTDOORS Q & A

(A column, whereas, you the reader may ask Ben questions about camping, cooking, hunting, fishing, or anything concerning living in our Great Outdoors.)

Q – What makes you think you’re such an expert on the outdoors?

A – No one said I was an expert (surely not me); I just know where to look for the answers AND I’ve been camping for nigh on to 60-some years so I’ve learned a few things that I’d like to pass on to those not interested in making the same mistakes I did learning what I’ve learned about ROUGHING IT (EASY) in the outdoors. If you have a tip that will save time, effort, money, and make it more comfortable while camping, hunting, hiking, or canoeing, let me know and I’ll pass it on to some others. I’ll let you play the expert.

Q – How old do I have to be to join the Boy Scouts?

A – That depends on the group you want to join. Cub Scouts – boys 7 to 10 years old and Boy Scouts – boys 11 to 17 years old. Venture Scouts (coed – boys and girls) are 14 to 21 years old. All groups are in need of adult leaders of all ages (over 18). There is an age group for almost everyone.

Q – I’m looking for Scout equipment and uniforms; where do I go?

A – Look no further; you are reading one of the best sources there is for ‘looking for something’. Advertise in The Waynedale News for what you want. The rates are cheap and there are about 25,000 people reading each issue that will help you in your search for what you want. Maybe our editors will start an OUTDOOR TRADING POST SECTION for people who have camping/scouting equipment for sale, to give away, or maybe want to buy outdoor/camping ‘stuff’. Maybe they’ll put it on this page. All you have to do is ask them.

We suggest that everyone get a copy of Indiana’s hunting and fishing regulations from most any place that sells hunting/fishing license for more detailed rules and regulations. Please e-mail all questions reguarding Waynedale outdoors to: News@waynedalenews.com.
