RENAISSANCE RESTAURANT STAYING PROSPEROUS

The city of Tripolis, Greece is about 117 miles from the better-known Athens, Greece. It is located in a mountainous region with lush green parks and world-renowned restaurants. Tropolis is where George Colioppoupolos was born. George came to America in 1979, pursuing the American dream of working and owning his own business.

George and his partner, Mario Alvarado are the owners of Renaissance Family Restaurant at 1033 Tillman Road near Southtown Centre. They have 50 years combined experience in the restaurant business and have been at the Tillman Road location for 12 years.
Renaissance Restaurant has managed to stay prosperous through the rebuilding of Southtown Centre by keeping their menu unique, with delicious entrees for breakfast, lunch and supper.

The breakfast menu features thick pieces of French toast stuffed with cream blended filling and topped with real whipped cream. You may also order fruit filling of strawberry, cherry, apple or blueberry. Renaissance features Pancake Roll-ups, which are warm buttermilk pancakes encased with your choice of cream-cheese blend or fruit filling. The breakfast menu has everything from oatmeal to omelets.

Lunch may be ordered choosing from “Light and Refreshing” to “Deluxe Sandwiches.” They feature burgers, Greek Gyros, Croissants, Three Story Clubs, Chicago, Turkey, Ham & Cheese and BLT’s. They also serve Melts and Manhattans, Chef Specials and Oriental Stir Fry.

Mario Alvarado, who is originally from Durango, Mexico, creates the ‘South of the Border’ dinner menu featuring Fajitas, Nachos Supreme, and Enchiladas, all accented with Mario’s special ranchero sauces. You may also choose from five different entrees from their broiler: Chopped Sirloin, Broiled Pork Chops, Round Steak, New York Strip Steak, and Porter House Steak. They offer Mediterranean Dinners, Italian Pastas, Seafood, Ribs and 10 special dinners, just for seniors.

George Colioppoupolos couldn’t take to you to Tripolis nor could Mario Alvarado take you to Durango, so they brought their fine tradition of great foods to Fort Wayne, Indiana.
