EAGLE SCOUT AWARDS
Marty Carey 18, of Boy Scout Troop #22, earned his Eagle Scout Award during a Court of Honor Ceremony at the Southwest Conservation Club on April 18, 2006.
Marty earned 25 merit badges, four more than necessary, to qualify for the Eagle award. Marty’s service project was to build 12 benches for the Chief Richardville House. Wolohan Lumber, located on Goshen Road, donated the material. Marty supervised and organized the project, which gives visitors to the Chief Richardville House a place to sit during their tour. Marty is still with Troop 22 as an Assistant Scoutmaster.
Eagle Scout Joseph Shephard, a freshman at Wayne High School, has earned his Silver Palm and Eagle Scout Awards.
He earned thirty-eight merit badges to earn his awards. Joseph’s Court of Honor was held on May 30, 2006 at the Southwest Conservation Club.
Kyle Brooks moved up in rank to be a Star Scout along with many other scouts who earned awards during the May 30 Ceremony.
