SCOTT’S GRAND RE-OPENING IN WAYNEDALE
Scott’s Food & Pharmacy held a grand re-opening of its Waynedale store Tuesday, June 28, with a ribbon cutting and a charitable donation to the Waynedale Picnic.
The store, which was originally built in 1957, received more than $4 million in renovations. Virtually every aspect of the store was remodeled, essentially making it a brand new store.
After the ribbon cutting Scott’s announced that it was donating $1,000 to the Waynedale Community Picnic Fund as well as 1500 bottles of water, 1000 cans of Super Chill Soda and 100 bags of Super Crunch Potato Chips.
“This is part of an ongoing process that we started more than two years ago,” said Scott’s General Manager Bill Gillispie. “We feel that every community and neighborhood we serve has the right to the very best that we can provide them. And so we embarked on a mission to remodel all of our stores. Waynedale is the latest example of Scott’s commitment to all of its shoppers.”
