LADY BLAZERS 6 – 0
The Roanoke Baptist varsity volleyball team is off to a good start with six wins and no losses. They will face even stiffer competition than they have so far in some of the multi-state tournaments coming up.
They have won championships the last two years in a five-state tournament held in Louisville, Kentucky, even toppling last year’s Kentucky’s State Champion of Christian schools. The Roanoke Lady Blazers will travel to Louisville again on October 4-5.
Their toughest tournament will be their own Blazer Classic held October 25-26, where they will again invite some of the toughest competition amongst Christian schools in several states such as Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, Michigan and possibly Alabama.
So far this season the Lady Blazers have beaten Berean Baptist from Adrian, Michigan, Three Rivers Baptist from Fort Wayne, Blackford Baptist from Hartford City, Indiana, Northwest Baptist from Toledo, Ohio, Emmanuel Baptist from Wabash, Indiana and High Street Baptist from Columbus, Ohio.
