BLAUVELT 70TH ANNIVERSARY
Richard and Kathleen Blauvelt were married November 29, 1945, and have resided in Fort Wayne for the past 70 years.
The Blauvelts have six children: Beverly Moran, Naperville, Illinois; William, South Bend; Robert, Denver, Colorado; James, Kokomo; Margaret Echrich, Fort Wayne; and Richard, Greenwood.
Richard and Kathleen met at a USO dance in Hot Springs, Arkansas, while Richard was serving in the Army in 1944.
They raised six children in Fort Wayne and enjoy time with 21 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
Richard retired after many years with the Penn-Central Road. Richard, 91 and Kathleen, 89, divide their year between Fort Wayne, Angola lake cottage and a winter home in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
