HAPPY 95TH BIRTHDAY GERTI!
Gerti Wyss celebrated her 95th birthday with family on July 15th at Hoagland Park. All seven of her children were in attendance: Diana Cole, Bluffton, Indiana, Nick (Cheryl), Ron (Jean), Ken (Jean), Dan (Linda), Fort Wayne, Indiana, Russ (Sheila), Hoagland, IN and Tom, Miami, Florida. Also attending were her brother Carl Sorg (Theresa), Monroeville, IN, sisters Joan Smith, Convoy, Ohio, Dorothy Brown, Frankfort, Michigan, Ruth Lathamer, Fort Wayne, IN and sister-in-law Marilyn Sorg, Fort Wayne, IN.
Gerti is grandmother to 17 and great grandmother to 35 and great great grandmother to 6 grandchildren. She is a member of St. Joseph Hessen Cassel Catholic Church and attends St. Therese Catholic Church.
She enjoys Sunday evenings when all who are able meet for potluck dinners at her home in Stone Creek in Waynedale. She and her husband Arthur (1917-2007) farmed where Wayne High School is currently located.
