WAYNEDALE BOY DONATES BOOKS
On August 11th a generous young man donated two large boxes of books to the Waynedale Elementary School. Gerald Martin IV, eleven years old was moving to Titusville, FL and wanted to share the books, many new, with other children.
Gerald’s grandmother, Linda Shelton, and his aunt, Brittany Vollen, took the books to the school. The ladies in the office of Waynedale Elementary were more than happy to accept such a wonderful gift for their library.
Gerald had several series he had bought; Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Junie B, Judy Blume, just to name a few. There were also many books about animals and astronomy, as he loves science. Gerald’s late mother, Amy (Vollen) Martin, passed on her love of reading and books to Gerald and he enjoys non-fiction as well as fiction. Thank you Gerald for your donation, we will miss you!
