GIVERS TO GET CHILLY FOR A CAUSE
The Student Nurses Association of the University of Saint Francis is asking local residents to get chilly for a cause—the Cougar Chill—to raise funds for Hoosier Burn Camp, which provides an expense-free summer camp experience for young men and women who have experienced injuries from burns.
Participants will take turns making an icy plunge into the University of St. Francis’s Mirror Lake at 2701 Spring St., Fort Wayne, on Saturday, February 22 from 10 a.m.-noon.
Registration is online at 2014cougarchill.eventbrite.com or at the site on the day of the event. Participants should arrive by 9 a.m.
The cost is $15 per USF student or $50 for a group of up to four. The cost for all others is $30 per person or $100 for a group of up to four. Fees will be collected at registration the day of the event, and donations will be taken all day.
For more information, contact assistant professor of nursing Rene DePew at (260) 399-7700 ext. 8512.
