COUNTRY CHRISTMAS AT THE ALLEN COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS

Come out to enjoy the festive lights and holiday fun of an old-fashioned Country Christmas as the Allen County Fairgrounds lights up in the holiday spirit. “A Country Christmas” is planned from 6:00-9:00 PM, on Friday, December 6 and Saturday, December 7, and again on Friday, December 13 and Saturday, December 14, at the Allen County Fairgrounds, 2726 Carroll Rd., Fort Wayne. Experience an old-fashioned evening with horse-drawn wagon rides as you enjoy all the light displays of a Country Christmas (with the help of the DeKalb County Horseman’s Association). Experience a true country Christmas with a live-animal nativity scene in a country barn (including a live camel on December 6 and 7). Also have your picture taken with Santa in Santa’s Country Christmas setting.

A Country Christmas also includes a chili supper served from 6:00-9:00 PM, along with sandwiches, snacks, desserts and beverages. The Country Christmas experience, lights, wagon rides, live animals, crafts, and food will all be offered for a free-will donation. Five dollars per person is a suggested donation. Bring your camera for Santa’s pictures. All proceeds will go towards the new maintenance building project needed at the Allen County Fairgrounds.

There will be a beautiful Christmas Tree Decorating Contest where visitors will be able to vote for the best decorated tree. Enjoy walking among all the fabulous trees and let yourself experience the Christmas spirit. Experience doing Christmas crafts with your children. A special thank you goes out to the Salvation Army for their participation.
