BEAUTY & THE BEAST JR.

St. Joe St. E Beauty and the Beast JrSt. Joseph-St. Elizabeth School students put on three performances of Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast Jr.” for students, families and friends of St. Joseph-St. Elizabeth School.

Fifth through eighth graders played the memorable roles of Belle, the Beast, Gaston, Lefou, as well as the Beast’s servants under an enchantress’ spell — Cogsworth, Lumiere and Mrs. Potts. To a musical accompaniment, students sang the familiar and lyrical Disney songs by Alan Menken, Howard Ashman and Tim Rice, including “Belle,” “Be Our Guest,” “Something There” and “Beauty and the Beast.”

The musical was directed by Mrs. Katie Slee and Mrs. Michelle Voigt. The performances took place in St. Elizabeth Seton’s Parish Activity Center on May 17 and 18.
