PRAYERS FOR NOAH
On Christmas Eve 2012, 15 year-old Noah Barbknecht was involved in a tragic skiing accident on Mount Snow in Vermont. He has sustained multiple facial fractures, a broken neck, broken ribs, double pneumothorax, and a spinal fracture at T8 that has left him paralyzed from the breastbone down.
Our entire football family; the players, Head Coach Martone, his coaching staff and our Bruin community have come together to attempt to make a meaningful financial contribution to Noah’s family in support of his care and rehabilitation.
On February 9, 2013 a charity benefit will be held at Ceruti’s Summit Park at 7:00 PM featuring heavy hors d’oeuvres, non-alcoholic beverages, live entertainment and a silent online auction. As a community, we have been able to raise over $40,000 of inventory for the auction. As this event is being staffed and organized entirely by volunteers, we anticipate minimal direct cost so that Noah’s family will benefit wholly from the funds raised.
We are asking that the public purchase tickets to attend the event. The tickets are $30, and include entrance to the auction, food, drink, and live entertainment. Tickets can be purchased at the web site:

A local Fort Wayne, Indiana account has been set up by Noah’s dad, Jason. Use any Three Rivers Federal Credit Union branch to donate to the “Prayers for Noah” account.
Besides a Facebook page, there is also a Noah Barbknecht journal and guest book at caringbridge.org (just search his name). We may possibly be using caring bridge to set up suggestions for tasks the family will need help with as they transition home.
