2ND ANNUAL CHRISTMAS IN WAYNEDALE PLANNED
The Waynedale Community Improvement Team is again hosting their 2nd Annual “Christmas in Waynedale.” The location of the event is being moved this year to the Southwest Conservation Club, 5703 Bluffton Road. This is same venue the very successful Fall Festival was recently held.
Supporting a “green” initiative, a 10′ live Christmas tree will be planted and decorated near the entrance to the Club. Attendees to the event are encouraged to bring an ornament to add to the tree. Those who contributed personal ornaments last year will be able to enjoy them again as part of the tree décor this season.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will be attending the event and will be available for photos so please be sure and bring your camera. Waynedale Elementary, Wayne High School and Miami Middle School have also committed to caroling with their choirs. There will also be treat bags for all the children who attend.
A concession stand offering a variety of treats for purchase will be onsite to help raise funds for the Waynedale Community Improvement Team (WCIT) as they continue to sponsor events for the community. Additional projects the team is working on include safe trail access to the St. Mary’s Pathway across Lower Huntington Bridge and a Community Center for the youth of Waynedale.
Anyone interested in joining the WCIT is invited to join the monthly meetings held the third Thursday of each month at Kingston Residence, 7515 Winchester Road.
