CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI ASSOC. SCHOLARSHIPS 2012
The following students were awarded $500 in scholarships from the Central High School Alumni Association. Congratulations to these students planning to attend college in the fall.
JARED BRADLEY
Jared is a Westervill North High School, Columbus, OH graduate and the sone of Kristina and Rodney Bradley. His alumni connection is Rodger A. Rang, grandfather who graduated in the class of 1952. Jared will be attending Columbus State University and will be pursuing a degree in filming. He is involved in his church and traveled to Costa Rica last summer on a mission trip.
KATRINA R. ESHCOFF
Katrina was a student at Ball State and is transferring to IPFW for her Sophomore year. She is the daughter of Thomas Eshcoff and Renee Eshcoff. Her alumni connection is William V. Eshcoff, grandfather, class of 1944, and Norma J. Eshcoff, grandmother, class of 1945. Katrina will be pursuing a degree in Radiology at IPFW. While at Concordia High School, she was involved in playing volleyball and worked as a babysitter.
LACEY JAHN
Lacey is a Columbia City High School graduate. She is the daughter of Robert and Lisa Jahn. Her alumni connection is Carol (Peterson) Shoda, class of 1952. Lacey will be pursuing a degree in Biology/Genetics – Bachelor of Science at Purdue University. While at Columbia City High School she was a member of the National Honor Society, earned an Honors Diploma and worked on the yearbook. She was also involved in basketball, soccer and track.
JOSHUA JACOB JORDAN
Joshua is a graduate of New Haven High School. He is the son of Bill and Michelle Jordan. His alumni connection is Marquita (Dilworth) Mattes, class of 1962. Joshua will be pursuing a degree in Marketing at IPFW. Joshua was active in PAL football program and in his church.
AMBER McDEVITT
Amber is a graduate of Leo High School, Leo, IN. She is the daughter of Mark and Holly McDevitt. Her alumni connection is her grandfather William McDevitt, class of 1951. Amber is a member of National Honor Society, a student tutor and a member of Sharing Hearts Club at Leo High School.
ELAINE MARIE PARKER
Elaine Parker is a graduate of Mt. Carmel High School, San Diego, California. She is the daughter of Jill and Ken Parker. Her alumni connection is Marylou P. (Felts) Taylor, class of 1944. Elaine will be studying Kenesiology – Bachelor of Science at Sonoma State University, Rohnert Park, CA. Elaine’s outside activity includes club volleyball and a great deal of volunteering.
LAUREN SMITH
Lauren Smith is a graduate of Snider High School, Fort Wayne, IN. She is the daughter of Joyce Smith. Her alumni connection is Donald W. Clark, class of 1946. Lauren will be studying Dietectics/Nutrition at the College of Health and Human Sciences, Purdue University. Lauren has been on the honor roll, National Honor Society, Scholar Athlete, and Junior Rotarian of the Month. She served on Student Council, was a Study Connection Tutor and received a State PTA Reflections Award.
