KRISTINA POWELL PLACES 2ND

The latest news on Kristina Powell competing in this year’s AASBD in Akron, Ohio is a second place in the SS Division for all local champions. She competed with 137 others in this division and lost by only six inches to Maija Liimatainen of Madison, Wisconsin.

This is an outstanding accomplishment in the Powell history of racing in Soap Box Derby competition. She takes home a nice trophy and a $2000 college scholarship as a reward for this effort.
