BISHOP LUERS SPORTS PROGRAM HONORED

Mayor Tom Heny honored the Bishop Luers Athletic program by presenting a proclamation to Luers Principal, Mary Keefer on Wednesday, June 25, 2008

WHEREAS- Today is to honor the Bishop Luers Knights extraordinary sweep of the boys’ power sports for the 2007-08 season; and

WHEREAS – No team in Indiana high school history has ever won state titles for football, basketball, and baseball in the same academic year; and

WHEREAS – Their teams demonstrated and exhibited competitiveness, talent, chemistry, and leadership.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, THOMAS C. HENRY, Mayor of the City of Fort Wayne, Indiana, do hereby proclaim, June 25, 2008, as

BISHOP LUERS KNIGHTS DAY
in Fort Wayne, and encourage all residents to recognize and celebrate this unique accomplishment.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Office of Mayor, City of Fort Wayne, Indiana to be affixed this 25th day of June, 2008.
