TENTH ANNUAL LEIGHANN PALMER GOLF OUTING
The LeighAnn Palmer Golf Outing will be a double shotgun 4-person team Florida scramble this year. The outing is scheduled at Grey Goose Golf Course on September 12, 2004.
The proceeds from this event go to the scholarship fund and other local charities in remembrance of LeighAnn Palmer. On May 28, 1995 LeighAnn accidentally drowned at 3 1/2 years of age. On Sunday, September 24, 1995, the first annual LeighAnn Palmer Scholarship Fund Golf Outing was held in her memory. One scholarship is for a Senior Cheerleader (LeighAnn loved cheerleading) at Bishop Luers High School to help pay her tuition for college her Freshman year, and the other is for an 8th grade girl at St. Therese to help pay her tuition at Bishop Luers her 9th grade year. Molly Till was the recipient for the Bishop Luers Senior cheerleader scholarship and Andrea Allphin, Jessica Beck, Bridgette Cooper and Jenna Rorick were the St. Therese scholarship winners. Proceeds also go to various charitable organizations that benefit children.
