THREE RIVERS PRESIDENT/CEO MILLS ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT

Three Rivers Federal Credit Union President and Chief Executive Officer, James G. Mills, has announced plans to retire effective June 30, 2004. The announcement was made at the Three Rivers FCE Annual Meeting on Thursday, March 25, 2004.

In tribute to Mills’ many years of service to the credit union community, many special invited guests and national credit union regulatory representatives were in attendance. Dennis Dollar, Chairman of the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) and National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU) President and CEO, Fred Becker, spoke to the audience regarding their relationship and experiences with Mills.

“As a regulator, I’ve come to really respect Jim,” said Dollar, who added that Mills has “impacted the lives of not just thousands, which would reflect contributions at Three Rivers Federal Credit Union, but has impacted the lives of millions as Chairman of the Board at NAFC…credit unions are stronger today because of the leadership of Jim Mills.”

NAFC President/CEO, Fred Becker added that, “No one has done more than Jim has for the credit union community over the past few years. He should take with him a sincere thank you from the entire credit union community.”

Mills’ Successor as Three Rivers FCU President/CEO

It was also announced that the next President and Chief Executive Officer of Three Rivers Federal Credit Union will be current EVP, Jeff Meyer. Meyer is a Fort Wayne, Indiana native and a graduate of North Side High School. He earned a B.S. in Finance from Ball State University in 1985 and had 5 years of financial institution experience before joining the credit union. Having been affiliated with Three Rivers for 13 years, he has held positions as a loan officer, lending manager, vice president of lending and has been Three Rivers FCU’s Executive Vice President since 1995.
