2 eggs (beaten)

2/3 cup milk

2 tsp. Salt

1/4 tsp. pepper

3 slices bread (torn in small pieces) 

2/3 cup shredded carrots

2/3 cup chopped onion

1 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

2 lbs hamburger

1/4 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup catsup

1 tbsp. mustard


Stir eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and bread pieces together. Add carrots, onion, cheese, and hamburger. Mix well. Form into a loaf, place on a cake cooling rack in the bottom of a Dutch oven, cover, and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes. 5 hot briquets under the Dutch oven and 12 to 15 hot briquets on top.

Combine brown sugar, catsup, and mustard. Spread this glaze over meatloaf and bake 15 minutes longer.
