“This year our church is buzzing with excitement as we head out on a Bug Safari,” says Doug Reynolds, Vacation Bible School Director at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, 1819 Reservation Drive in Waynedale. “On this adventure, kids won’t find any boring reminders of tedious schoolwork. Our ‘Bug Safari’ program will provide fun, memorable Bible-learning activities for kids from age 4 through 5th grade. Each day kids will sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, nibble tasty treats from Picnic Place, experience electrifying Bible adventures, and create Bible Point Crafts they’ll take home and play with all summer long.”

“Bug Safari is an exciting way for kids to catch the buzz about God’s love,” says Doug. They will be studying David in the Bible and learning some of the psalms he wrote. Plus, kids will join nearly a million children in North America and take part in a hands-on mission project that will reach needy children in Eastern Europe. They will conclude each day with the festive Firefly Finale that gets everyone involved in celebrating what they’ve learned. Family members and friends are encouraged to join them daily for this special time. Mount Calvary hopes that Bug Safari will help our community catch the buzz about God’s love.

Bug Safari begins on Monday, June 17th and continues through Friday, June 21st. Meet at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, 1819 Reservation Drive (in Waynedale) each day from 6-9PM. For more information, call 747-4121 ext. 16.
