Dave (everybody called him Shark Boy), and the monk scaled the rocky cliff on the seaward side of Lovango in search of the pirate treasure, but before they turned over the first rock they heard a familiar sound far below. It was Big Jessie’s powerboat, . . . 

After thoroughly cleaning the cedar bucket and stowing it under the sink the hungry monk continued to inquire of Dave — or Shark Boy as they called him — exactly what it was they were looking for. As the Dream Weaver continued its rapid . . . 

Dave stowed his hammock and blanket below deck and started getting the Dream Weaver ready to sail. Normally he used his sails both on and off the mooring, but with an inexperienced crewman under foot, he decided it would be more prudent to . . . 

As the Caribbean sun began to rise over the emerald sea it found Dave (everybody called him Shark Boy) fast asleep. Dave frequently slept topside under the stars, in case conditions suddenly changed and it became necessary to move the boat. Shark Boy . . . 

After Dave and the monk sold the freshly caught fish and lobsters, the sun dropped behind the horizon and they headed for the boat shack. When the last ferryboat disappeared, so too did the police in their white uniforms, and once they had departed, . . . 

Having ended their philosophical debate on the way to Santana’s shack, Dave and the monk reached the top of the path and began exploring Santana’s abandoned shack. Everything was the same as the day he died, except it needed a lot of cleaning. . . .
