EASTER IN WAYNEDALE

The Waynedale Community Improvement Team presents the 2nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt for the Waynedale Community. “Easter in Waynedale” will be held at the Waynedale Park Pavilion on Saturday, April 7th at 10 a.m. A special area will be set aside for the younger children to hunt eggs. A page for children to color and hang on the refrigerator announcing the details of the event is available at local Waynedale businesses.

This is a free event offered to encourage community spirit. If you would like to attend, simply bring an Easter basket and a camera for photos with the Easter Bunny and other mascots including TinCap Johnny, Subway Sub Man, Kingston the Lion, Midwest America Cow and Taco Bell Sauce Man. There will be a raffle for prizes and coupons provided by many local restaurants. In an effort to “Go Green” the plastic eggs once opened will be recycled for use next year. Special gifts await the children who find the golden eggs!

Easter in Waynedale is one of several community events organized by The Waynedale Community Improvement Team and sponsored by various local businesses and residents. Christmas in Waynedale is another example of a successful community event created by the group. The team is also working toward other projects such as a Community Center, access to the Fort Wayne Trails, sidewalks and enhancing the Waynedale Parade.
