“A MAN IS NOT REALLY DEAD, UNTIL HE IS FORGOTTEN”
If you haven’t heard about it, there is, along with the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, D.C. and the Traveling Wall that many have seen in our area, a “virtual” wall. You can visit at www.vvmf.org.
A movement is currently under way, to have a picture coincide with each name on that virtual wall.
In the state of Indiana there are 1530 names on “The Wall”, but only 519 of those names have a picture to go with the name.
Tina Custer, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary in Garrett, Indiana has taken it upon herself to spread the word for the state of Indiana, although anyone, anywhere can help.
If you recognize any of the family of one of 52,000+ men and women that died there, please do what you can to get their picture on the “virtual Wall”. Her goal is that all 1530 Hoosiers have a picture.
