SIGNS OF SPRING ARE POPPING UP IN WAYNEDALE
On May Day the sun was shining and families were enjoying the spring day. Nothing screams warmer weather more than a field of tulips and baseball, both of which were seen in Foster Park.
Practicing his hitting on the Foster Park Little League diamond was James Navarro and his mom Eunice. James plays for Don Hall’s in the Majors League.
A few colorful reminders were found in Foster Park. Over the next few days, drive, jog, walk or bike through Foster Park, and admire the wonderful purple and white lilacs, yellow daffodils, a rainbow of tulips and many other spring flowers now in full bloom.
You could also venture over to Eagle Marsh and admire everything the wetlands has to offer. At this time of year, wetlands are bursting with life, none more loudly and insistently than the deafening drones of spring peepers (tiny frogs) and Northern Leopard frogs. A drive by at dusk makes you feel like you’ve just entered a rainforest.
Now is a great time to get outside and enjoy your own springtime adventures in Waynedale.
