FORT WAYNE YOUTHEATRE VISITS PRESCHOOLERS
On November 18, the Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School three-year-old preschoolers received a visit from Leslie Hormann, executive director of Fort Wayne Youtheatre. Ms. Hormann read the preschoolers a book about pumpkins. Then she had six of the preschoolers act out a short play about a farmer, his wife, two sons and two daughters who try to pick an enormous pumpkin off the vine, which they cannot do. The farmer’s family finally manages to do the job, with the help of a little mouse. The preschoolers enjoyed playing the acting roles and also being the audience.
On December 19-21, Fort Wayne Youtheatre will be putting on a show that it first put on 80 years ago, “The Steadfast Tin Soldier” by Hans Christian Anderson. Fort Wayne Youtheatre, located at 303 E. Main Street in downtown Fort Wayne, is celebrating its 80th anniversary this year.
