Participants will be removing the invasive plant autumn olive to prepare for a habitat restoration. Working in an open field with limb loppers, brush cutters and herbicides, volunteers should dress accordingly and bring gloves, safety glasses and bug spray.

Questions and Answers

Q: Ben, where can I take my grandkids fishing that’s not too far from Waynedale and what do I use for bait?

A: Have you tried the fishing at Fox Island?
The Bait and Hook Store on Winchester Road can outfit you with a nice bluegill rig and they have bait.
Kids 17 and under can fish for free – no license.
You on the other hand may need a license unless you are a senior citizen that can fish for free.

Check the rules at the store.
