ROCKIN’ FOR RESCUE RAISES FUNDS FOR LOCAL ANIMAL SHELTERS
Community animal lovers of all ages are invited to join together on May 17, 2009 for a Rockin’ for Rescue benefit to raise funds for Northeast Indiana Animal Shelters. The outdoor concert will be held at Sweetwater, 5501 US Hwy 30 West, and feature the musical talents of the Marnee Project, Kingpin Mafia, Junk Yard Band, Mind’s Eye, Amarillo, and Brother who are donating the concert to help homeless animals and the shelters that provide for their care during this difficult economy. Participants will visit with animals available for adoption from Fort Wayne Animal Care & Control and the De Kalb County Humane Society Shelter and can enjoy food, raffles, silent auction, face painting and more.
Admission is $5, kids ages 11 years and under admitted free. Bring blankets or lawn chairs for concert seating. Bring 6 cans of dog/cat food or a 3 lbs. bag of dry to receive $1 off admission price.
