SMOKE ON THE WIND
HAPPY NEW YEAR
The Saturday after Thanksgiving, I suffered a heart attack.‑ I now have stents in two of my main arteries, and I go to cardiac rehab three times a week.
I wish to thank my wife, Jane, for calling 911. ‑I also wish to thank the Noble County EMS, doctors, nurses, and hospital personnel at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville‑and Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne for the wonderful care I received.‑ Thanks also to my family and friends for their loving support and caring concern.
I have been changed by this experience, and I thank God for the wake-up call.‑ I’m learning to make a lot of changes:‑ my diet (low fat, low cholesterol, low sodium) more exercise, lose a few pounds;‑be more forgiving, understanding, loving, compassionate, respectful; hug more, pray more, laugh more, and most important to send my prayers along with yours and together we will send our smoke on the wind – prayers to The Creator – for Peace on Earth in 2005.
Happy New Year, everyone – I love you one and all!
