SMOKE ON THE WIND

Looking out on the pond and wetland at Peace Tree Ridge, I suddenly realize this is the day the Creator has made for the geese to teach their young ones how to fly, change directions, take off and land on the water, and land on solid ground.‑ They are doing a lot of vocalizing and I believe their mother is saying, “This is the day the Creator has made.‑ Let us rejoice and be glad in it.‑ Today, we spread our wings and fly.”

As I reflect on watching my winged friends, I believe there is a lesson for us also.‑ We need to listen to our elders if we intend to spread our wings and help one another reach our destination.‑ It is lift off time.‑ Together we will soar and fly!
