HERMAN J. RUTKOWSKI, 85
HERMAN J. RUTKOWSKI, 85, of Fort Wayne, died Friday, June 25, 2004, in Fort Wayne. Born August 5, 1918, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of Herman and Jenny (Tracy) Rutkowski. He was Assistant Vice President for the Group Department at Lincoln Life Insurance Co., retiring after 45 years in 1982. He was in the Army Air Corp. and was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and the Mayor’s Senior Advisory Council.
Surviving are one son, Richard (Rebecca) Rutkowski of Fort Wayne; one daughter, Karen (Robert) Oldsen of Fort Wayne; and five grandchildren, Eric (Andre) Rutkowski, Todd Rutkowski and Jennifer (Jeremy) Rutkowski-Smith, David Johnson and Adriane Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Virginia E. (Zieg), in 2002.
Service was Wednesday, June 30, at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Visitation was Tuesday, June 29, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road. Burial at Concordia Cemetery Gardens.
