SMOKE ON THE WIND
Just a short while ago, baskets were full of colored eggs, marshmallow chicks, chocolate bunnies and jellybeans. ‑After all these treats are gone from our baskets, we now are free to choose what we put into them.
I think of The Lord’s Prayer – Our Father, who art in Heaven. ‑He is in our Easter baskets long after the candy is gone, to guide us on our journey upon Mother Earth. ‑This is a good time of the season to see and smell blossoms of many colors and sweet fragrances. ‑The Way-Shower rested for three days. ‑Some of us thought He was gone forever, but then on the third day, we were searching the fields of our hearts, looking for that most beautiful colored Easter egg, wondering who would find it. ‑
Easter is over now, the candy all gone, the colored eggs some of us traded, still looking for that special one. ‑Suddenly, one egg in our basket opens and there is love and light, and we know that as the seasons change, we can weather any storm if we hang on to our Saviour’s Easter basket filled with heavenly gifts.
