JULIA’S PET CORNER
My friend who bred the litter of weimaraners had an entertaining afternoon a few weeks ago. The puppies were going to be 1 year old on April 12, 2003 so she decided to bake treats. She got the ingredients lined up on her counter and prepared to start when a friend stopped by and invited her to lunch.
She walked in the door a couple hours later to the sight of geisha dogs doing a soft shoe all over the kitchen. Their happy, white coated faces with gold eyes were hilarious to see I understand. Their noses were like paper mache from the moisture. They must have had a wonderful time playing in the flour.
Of course, Karen had a lovely time cleaning up spilled flour spread out all over her downstairs. It takes a lot of patience to raise weimaraners. I love babysitting for them but they definitely require a lot of attention.
I have a weimaraner with me now. He is sitting here staring at me for the moment, but if I sit here too long he will start barking for attention. It’s wonderful to be needed!
